PASTOR JOSHUA D. GOEPFRICH

Pastor Josh was born and raised in South Bend, IN.  He and his family moved to Warsaw, IN in 2014 when he accepted a position as senior pastor of Warsaw Baptist Church. He is a devoted husband and father, has a heart for church ministry, and a passion to evangelize.  People often comment about his down to earth manner with them.  He reaches people right where they are and desires to point them to Jesus.

Previously, Pastor Josh served as a youth minister for 15 years.  His heart for youth gives him a unique insight into shepherding the church.  Josh received his bachelors degree from Oklahoma Baptist University and is currently working on his Masters degree through Southern Seminary.

Fun Facts About Pastor Josh

  • He minored in music at Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary where he began his schooling in 1995.  He plays guitar and sings and currently leads the WBC praise team. 
  • He is an athlete, lettering in basketball all four years of highschool and two years in soccer at Community Baptist in South Bend.  He also has been a martial artist for over 20 years and is currently the president of Ambassador Martial Arts Christian Fellowship and founder of American University of Martial Arts.  He currently offers classes at WBC on Monday and Thursday nights, as well as in South Bend on Tuesday nights.
  • He loves the outdoors.  His favorite hobbies include hunting, fishing, golfing, boating, working on his yard, or sitting around a bon-fire.  He is often found prayer walking trails, the church property, or the neighborhood.
  • He is an insurance agent by trade.  During the years he served in youth ministries, his full time job was as an insurance agent and financial planner.  While he is no longer a full time agent, he maintains his credentials and helps people whenever he can.  He offers Financial Freedom classes to help people discover God’s plan for their finances.  With his vast knowledge of both the scriptures and the world of finances, he is well equipped to offer financial counseling to those in need. 
  • He is very active in all levels of Southern Baptist life.  He has served in several capacities in the past, and is currently serving as the vice-moderator of the North Central Indiana Baptist Association, and as the Indiana trustee for GuideStone Financial Services.
